Abandon all hope, ye who enter here
Mother Fisher - what a woman and an awesome teacher. She was the Honors English (AP in today's terms). She was in a wheelchair but still scared the daylights out of me. Maybe it was the Dante quote "Abandon all hope ye who enter here." above her door that started it. But I have to say that I learned more from her than any other teacher - ever. She was compassionate and willing to help you work through any difficulty you were having. There are several of us former students that even today that had her 35-40 years ago that still talk about the influence she had on our education and our lives. Mother Fisher passed away this year and many were saddened to learn of it - but it brought back so many memories for all of us. Thank you Mother Fisher for your positive influence in my life.
