United Way Day of Action on the National Mall — June 21, 2011
Help United Way and Target assemble summer reading backpacks for 50,000 elementary school students.
School may soon be out, but education still is in. Help assemble reading kits, distribute books and make a difference for kids on the National Mall. We’ll be working between 3rd Street and 4th Street, but please enter on the Third Street side of the Mall so that we can get you registered. Please note that volunteer shifts are a 3-hour commitment. While we will do our best to accommodate your shift requests, we cannot guarantee you will receive your first choice. Traveling to the National Mall with a group? Check with your team leader to make sure you'll be there in time for your assignments. Thank you!
