United Way’s Financial Stability Partnership:

United Way is committed to improving financial stability. Part of this includes helping hardworking people obtain free tax preparation and filing services as well as qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and other credits. Last year, this helped return almost $2 billion in total tax refunds to individuals and families, who often used those dollars to pay bills and purchase necessities, such as food and clothing. It also saved people nearly $200 million in paid tax preparer fees.

Thanks to our partners: United Way Worldwide and local United Ways are proud to partner with IRS-SPEC, the Bank of America Foundation, the Walmart Foundation, One Economy and the National Disability Institute's Real Economic Impact Tour to make free tax preparation and filing services and tax credits more accessible to hardworking individuals and families.
