The Raiders participated in the 17th Annual United Way Hometown Huddle on October 19. Their players gave a message about the importance of a healthy body and mind, and then led the students through a series of engaging exercises. United Way of the Bay Area’s local ambassador, Raiders Pro Bowl fullback MARCEL REECE played a primary role in the Hometown Huddle service event at Bella Vista Elementary School in Oakland. Marcel spoke to the elementary students about the importance of staying healthy and active. He shared his own stories as well as engaged the students to encourage them to live and prepare for a healthy life. Marcel was joined by several of his teammates including OL KHALIF BARNES, DT JUSTIN ELLIS, LB JIMMY HALL, CB DJ HAYDEN, LB BEN HEENEY, T AUSTIN HOWARD, RB TAIWAN JONES, RB LATAVIUS MURRAY, FB JAMIZE OLAWALE and G J'MARCUS WEBB, who then led the student in a Raiders youth football clinic. The emphasis was on making exercise and healthy lifestyle a lifetime focus.
