Finding Transitional or Short-Term Housing

If you find that you are in the need of short-term or transitional housing consider the following options:

Homeless Shelters: local government and/or social service agencies may operate homeless shelter for those in need. The amount of time that you may stay at a shelter varies, from days to weeks.

Hotel/Motel Vouchers: Communities that don’t have enough shelter beds may offer vouchers to pay for a hotel or motel.

Transitional Housing Programs: local government and/or social service agencies or may provide transitional housing to qualified individuals for 90 days to two years.

Short-term Rentals: If you know that you are going to be living in an area for a short period of time you may reach out to local rental agents for resources on short-term rentals
