Team NFL Players Inspire Local Kids
Team NFL players are serving as role models for kids in their local cities. Recently, two members of the United Way’s Team NFL inspired students in their area. Buffalo Bills Safety George Wilson spoke to Bennett High School in the Buffalo area and Houston Texans Safety Glover Quin spoke to the students at Woodview Elementary in the Houston metro area.
Wilson says, "Sometimes all the difference in the world can be made by you expressing your faith and your belief in them." Through Team NFL and the United Way, anyone can partner with their local NFL teams and players to be that change in a child’s life and give the gift of hope. The key to success in life is education during childhood.
Anyone can become a part of the change in providing hope and a future for local kids in their area. The most direct and affective way to do this is to pledge to become a volunteer reader, tutor, or mentor through your local United Way.
You can also help provide students with eMentoring classrooms by donating financially at UnitedWay.org/Teamnfl. You may also wish to share this campaign and its positive impact with friends and family. Or it could be as simple as voting online each week in the GMC Never Say Never campaign to help one lucky city a $5,000 eMentoring classroom.
There are many ways to give and many ways to help provide hope and opportunity to local children in your city. Help Team NFL and the United Way today.comments powered by Disqus
