03/11/11
Olympian Apolo Anton Ohno joins students and Deloitte professionals on March 12th to kick off the United Way Alternative Spring Break sponsored by Deloitte.

Dozens of students are putting down their notebooks and rolling up their sleeves this week, joining United Way for the United Way Alternative Spring Break sponsored by Deloitte. Students and professionals Deloitte are volunteering side-by-side to strengthen the community in the greater Washington, DC area.
Inspired by the students’ choice to give back instead of relax, Olympian Apolo Anton Ohno, the legendary short track speedskater, joined us in Washington, D.C. on Saturday. Ohno delivered a motivational message, exploring the relationships between community service, high-performance careers, and professional achievement.
With the support of role models like Ohno and with partners like Deloitte, the United Way Alternative Spring Break program has literally changed the course of students’ lives and helped improve conditions in communities across the country.
