UPS delivers hope on Hurricane Katrina’s 5th anniversary
Five years after Hurricane Katrina, hundreds of families are still living in temporary housing in the Greater New Orleans Area. Thanks to UPS and United Way, the Treaudo Family recently moved into a permanent home. UPS partnered with the United Way No Place Like Home campaign, generously donating funds to sponsor the rebuilding of the Treaudo’s home and more than 50 UPS volunteers who worked on five homes throughout New Orleans. New Orleans families moved into permanent homes, but 572 families remain in FEMA trailers
We are happy to report that nearly 400 families have been able to move out of temporary FEMA trailers and into permanent homes since we launched the "No Place Like Home" campaign back in April. Thanks to the generous donations and volunteer work of people like you, New Orleans families are returning to the communities they love. More
