United Way partnered with MTV and mtvU, the network’s 24-hour college channel, to host “Spring Fix,” an Alternative Spring Break, in areas affected by Hurricane Sandy. Fifty college students from across the United States traveled to New York and New Jersey to help rebuild communities devastated by the storm. “Spring Fix” kicked-off on Sunday, March 17 and culminated on Saturday, March 23 with a special concert at Six Flags Great Adventure. United Way of Western Connecticut has created the 'Sandy Hook School Support Fund' that will be able to provide support services to the community that has been affected. More
