Reflections on United Way’s Education Advocacy Efforts
Despite threats to critical education programs and heightened political battles in Congress, 2011 was a great year for United Way Worldwide’s education policy work. Advocate for Food and Shelter
The Emergency Food and Shelter Program began in 1983. During its 28 years of operation, the program disbursed over $3.7 billion to over 14,000 local service organizations in more than 2,500 counties and cities. Now we can do something to make sure the gridlock in congress doesn't affect people who need food and shelter. More
