Lori Malcolm

Chief Culture Officer

Lori Malcolm serves as United Way Worldwide’s first Chief Culture Officer.  Lori will have direct responsibility for four key work groups at UWW:  Human Resources, Legal, Talent Development, and Conferencing & Training. She will shape and guide our efforts in developing our culture to be more adaptive, innovative, and interdependent.

Lori has both a breadth and depth of experience in Talent and Human Resources Management as well as a strong foundation in business operations. Early in her career she spent 10 years with IBM designing effective business solutions.  Over the last 20 years, Lori has lead organizational development, executive coaching and development, talent acquisition, training, performance management, organizational effectiveness, succession planning, employee relations, diversity and inclusion, and employee engagement for powerful brands across multiple industries, including Wal-Mart, Disney and the franchise system of Checker’s/Rally’s Restaurants.

Lori is a member of the Women’s Foodservice Forum and Conference Executive Board.  She has also held Board of Director positions with Young Life Student Ministries and the Crisis Center of Hillsborough County (a 2-1-1 provider).  Lori was the 2013 Florida Diversity Award Winner for Women of Distinction.

Lori received a Bachelor of Science in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from Cornell University. She recently relocated to Alexandria, Virginia from Tampa, Florida. She is married and has four children between the ages of 19 and 26.
